I’m really grateful to see you.
“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”
-Kahlil Gibran-
I love you. Let's sip & sit together.
Something to Ask:
“What's something you wish I asked you about more?"
Something to Help You:
If your slow summer has led to closet purging, consider dropping off your donation haul to local daycares, schools, shelters, neighbors libraries, and the like. Oftentimes, these places are in need of new books, toys, stuffed animals, and clothing, far more than you may realize. Call around until you find the perfect spot. OR! Look into your local “Buy Nothing” Facebook group and share there. Any of these options are so much better than dropping to a donation center that charges wild prices, causing the items to eventually end up unloved and in a landfill. (This nudge may or may not be spurred on by watching Toy Story 3 with James this weekend.)
Something to Taste:
I’ve been making this recipe for years, and it remains a family favorite and easy, reliable go-to. For garlic butter chicken thighs that taste like the restaurant’s, taking just 5 minutes stovetop and 30 in the oven, click & get cooking here.
Something to Bring You Joy:
A qualm I hear a lot with audio books is how expensive they are. You don’t have the time to sit and read, and you don’t have the trillion dollars to spend on audiobooks. BUT! Did you know you can access free audiobooks with your library card? Reason # 2838 why it’s about time you skedaddle on over to your local branch and sign up for your card!
Praying your week ahead brings you peace, connection, and an endless supply of gentleness, given and received.
Big Hugs. Always.
KP.
